Discrete Manufacturing

Manufacturing companies like Automotive, Footwear, Electronics, Furniture etc who need to track their Semi-Finished Goods uses the Discrete Manufacturing process in IFS. IFS Shop Order functionality helps the Customers to help catering this process along with the setup of the BOM.

There can be different scenarios like Make-to-Order, Make-to-Stock or Configure-to-Order that can be covered in this process in IFS.

This process can start from Planning level itself like forecasting, then Master Scheduling and MRP for the components.

In most of the cases, Forecasting is done by the Customers and then entered or uploaded in IFS to process it further. But IFS also offers a tool named Demand Planner to handle the automatic generation of Forecast. This automatic generated forecasts are also adjustable by the user if required.

Once the whole process of planning is done, the output user gets is the Shop Orders for the Manufactured items in different levels and Purchase Orders for the Purchased Items.

Assa Abloy is the largest global supplier of intelligent access solutions. One of the company of Assa Abloy was merged with another company. In this project we had to handle the merging activity.

In this project, I worked as a Supply Chain Consultant to make sure the merging activity is smooth.

Footwear Manufacturing

Runner is one of the leading Automobiles manufacturer in Bangladesh. Runner implemented IFS Apps-9 for their full operation starting from procurement to distribution and post sales services also including Finance.

In this project, I initially worked from customer side with a successful go-live of Service Management & Spare parts Supply Chain.

Later I worked as IFS Consultant to support their operations in IFS.
